Role Overview
The purpose of the Compliance Engineer is to ensure that our equipment meets performance regulatory requirements during on-site PA testing at customer facilities. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Field Engineering and Scheduling to guarantee the successful completion of compliance tests and the satisfaction of our customers.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Carrying out contracted planned preventative maintenance – PA Testing, minor repairs and maintaining a wide range of cleaning equipment across customer sites.
- Following customer site rules for booking in / booking out and adhering to onsite rules / regulations including Health and Safety.
- Tagging machines when they have passed or failed tests and isolating machines which have failed
- Updating jobs in an accurate and timely manner on our in house, central database Service Smart Pro (SSP).
- Liaising with customers on sites to communicate work completed / work required.
- Communicating on a daily basis with the Compliance Team to report findings on sites and to review diary allocations / routes.
- Efficiently planning to complete all calls scheduled in your diary.
- Keeping control of van stocks.
- Upkeeping company vehicle in line with company policy and ensure regular vehicle checks are undertaken and recorded.
- Attending engineering service review conferences as and when required.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field.
- Proven experience in compliance engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role, preferably in the industrial equipment or machinery industry.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to industrial cleaning equipment is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Detail-oriented, organised, and able to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Willingness to travel to customer sites for testing and troubleshooting purposes (travel percentage may vary).
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
